Lani Houston working with TAFE NSW in 2018 and her current role combines her passion for locally grown food and fibre as well as education. Lani’s current role is Industry Innovation Specialist working in the food/food science, meat & beverage processing sector. The Industry Innovation Specialist works collaboratively with industry to identify needs and innovative solutions to current and future workforce requirements.
Lani enjoy’s working in the agrifood sector having grown up on a merino sheep property in Hay NSW and having had the opportunity to meet with a number of innovative food industry groups and businesses through her various regional development roles.
Lani has worked in leadership roles for community and regional development organisations, as a consultant and as a teacher (Schools & TAFE). Lani worked overseas in Ireland and the UK. Lani studied an Education degree at Sydney University and completed her MBA with Charles Sturt University. Lani is a Churchill Fellow (2005).
